Singing the high Tenor part is John
Bell. He would like to try the Bass part, but still needs an
octave or so down there to actually do it! John is single and
lives in Charlotte which is central to the quartet, so quartet
rehearsals are normally held at his place. But we constantly have
to keep his dog Monty from joining in! |
Chris  |
Chris Puckett sings the Lead part in the
quartet and is also the Director of the Gold Standard Chorus.
Chris and his wife Susan live in Kannapolis, NC which causes Chris to
drive about 25 miles for rehearsals. |
Bill  |
The newest member to join barbershop singing,
and the newest quartet member, Bill Gronning has grabbed onto the low
Bass part with great gusto! He lives in Denver, NC, with his wife
Lynn, and so also has a long drive to sing in the chorus and quartet. |
Paul  |
Our Baritone, Paul Collom, has been singing Barbershop
Harmony for 30 years flitting between Bass and Baritone. His main
love is the Bari part, but occasionally during the years has taken leave
of his senses and drifted to the Bass part. He has been in at
least 5 quartets, stretching all the way back to New York state where he
first started in the Society. He boasts of 2 wonderful children
and 6 grandchildren! Paul and his wife Vickey live just outside of
Pageland, SC and he drives around 40 miles to sing in the Gold Standard
Chorus and with Dixie Gold. |
